What is the OC Placement Test?

The NSW Opportunity Class Placement Test is a selective exam run by the NSW Department of Education for students currently in Year 3 (sitting in Term 3). It determines entry into Opportunity Classes for Year 4โ€“6 at designated primary schools.

The test consists of two components: Thinking Skills and Reading, plus a combined Mathematical Reasoning section. Students are ranked statewide โ€” competition is intense.

Early, consistent practice is the single biggest predictor of success. Our platform gives your child the structured preparation they need.
